The Vegan Living Program is a volunteer-run 501(c)(3) organization that provides month-long series of educational and social events for new and aspiring vegans. Our free mentorship programs are designed to assist and support participants as they transition to lifelong vegan living, and to build community to provide sustained support.

We promote compassionate, healthy and environmentally responsible vegan lifestyles, helping people make life-affirming choices and become more responsible planetary citizens.

Vegan Living Programs have been held with overwhelming success since 2011 and in 5 cities, helping more than 1300 people to live vegan.

Syracuse Vegan Living Program Monthly Series at Marcellus Free Library
(SYRACUSE - Open to the public with advanced registration)

The Syracuse Vegan Living Program is switching it up this year with an exciting monthly series of educational events to support and educate new and aspiring vegans, or anyone curious about vegan living. Each month's session covers different aspects of the vegan lifestyle—ethics, nutrition, meal planning, cooking, and more.

Except for the sanctuary trip, these events will take place at the Marcellus Library. There will not be a pledge/coach component to this series. The monthly events are free to attend and open to all—perfect for anyone who is vegan-curious and wants to learn more, but not yet ready to be a Vegan Pledge. So tell all of your not-yet-vegan friends!

Delicious, nutritious plant-based eating doesn't have to cost a fortune! In fact, a vegan diet can save your family up to $1200 a year at the grocery store compared to an omnivore diet! Let Jacqueline Cappello of the Syracuse Vegan Living Program show you how to create nutrient-packed meals that the whole family will love, using simple, affordable ingredients. Jacqueline will be joined by Crystal Allen, who will demonstrate how to make a decadent but deceptively simple dessert using coconut cream and fresh fruit! Attendees will receive several recipes and practical cooking tips, as well as some tasty samples! This class is free, but registration is required.

Register by Saturday, April 26: https://onlib-central.libcal.com/event/14337543

"I recommend this excellent program to anyone who is interested in learning more about the vegan perspective. The presentations are informative and practical. Myths are dispelled here. Yes, it is possible to get enough protein on a vegan diet, and vegan food can be delicious! More importantly, people who care about the impact they have on their fellow beings, and on the environment, come together to explore the possibilities for change."
